Searching for Answers
Are you searching for answers to life’s questions?
        • Why am I here?
        • What is my purpose?
        • How can I find joy and peace?
        • Why is life so difficult?

The answers to these and other questions is in the person Jesus Christ and in coming into a right and personal relationship with Him, a relationship that was broken by sin. This is summarized in the book of Romans:

Romans 3:23 saysFor all have sinned and fallen short of the glory”

Sin means to miss the mark like an arrow missing a bulls eye. We all have missed the mark of God’s holy standard and that has a cost.

Romans 6:23 saysFor the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Our sin produces wages before God just as an employee earns wages from an employer and the wages of our sin is death which is eternal separation from God and judgment. This separation from God in this life is the reason that so many walk around without a sense of purpose, without joy, without peace. It is why our lives are filled with so much darkness and sadness, but there is a solution…

God did not intend for us to remain separated. God in His love and mercy sought to restore us into a right relationship with Himself. So God sent His only Son Jesus into the world to both reveal what He was like and ultimately to die for us, taking upon Himself the judgment of death that we deserved.

Romans 5:8 saysBut God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

As a result of Jesus taking upon Himself our sin payment on the cross, God now offers to us new life and forgiveness of sin as a free gift.

Romans 10:9-10 says“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.”

So, we believe in our heart accepting that Jesus died for our sins and we confess this through prayer. Will you confess that right now in prayer? Say
“Jesus I recognize that I have sinned and I am in need of your forgiveness. I believe you died on the cross for me and I now turn from my sin ask you to forgive me of my sin and please give me eternal life”

If you have sincerely believed and prayed that prayer, then you have been restored into a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ. You are now a member of God’s family and you have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit who now lives in you. He will guide you into right living, fill you with the peace of God and begin to lead you into a life of fulfilling God’s purpose for you.

First Steps:
As a first step in your new life it is important that you follow the Lord in baptism, that you plug into a Bible believing church, and that you begin to read your Bible and pray daily so that you will grow in this new relationship. If you have prayed that prayer and need a Bible, we would be happy to provide you one.  You may also find some helpful information on our resources page.
